PLATFORM: HP9000 Series 7/800 running HP-UX releases 10.10, 10.20, 10.24, 10.30, and 11.00 only. DAMAGE: The buffer overflows can be exploited to increase privileges or to gain unauthorized access. Background Hewlett-Packard has learned of buffer overflow conditions in the dtmail and rpc.ttdbserverd products. The programs are supplied as part of HP's implementation of CDE. NOTE: CDE does not need to be enabled for a system to be vulnerable. B. Fixing the problem Install the patches listed below. C. Impact of the patch The patch provides new versions of dtmail and rpc.ttdbserverd. E.
