In response to the recent post on the libresolv bug, the newer versions of RedHat linux do not seem to be vulnerable. Possibly Redhat 3.x runs a newer version of libc? Any information on this would be appreciated.
I am running RedHat 3.0.3 (Picasso) and I have found that I am VERY vulnerable to this bug (well no more than anyone else, but it is easily exploitable.) I am running Kernel 2.0.13 and have upgraded my libs and gcc, etc. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= You need no longer worry about the future.
