That works for systems running SunOS-4.x, but what about Solaris machines? -garyWhy can't you "strings /dev/eeprom" and look at the first word, which is the monitor password I believe. < Paul
The strings /dev/eeprom works for older Suns under Solaris 2.x. it doesn't work for newer Suns. Those only have a /dev/openprom that can't be stringized. (Though the information can perhaps be had in another way) Casper
