Bit9 is better. We looked at Faronics, and it would be a nightmare to manage in our environment. They have another product called DeepFreeze, but it's for workstations only I think that prevents any permanent changes to a system. Both are great products. No AV scanner will pick them all up, but anything not whitelisted will be denied and reported.
