Hey everyone, Do you know of an application that will do one of the following: a) Generate a baseline system profile, install applications via a script, and then compare what was done to the system with the baseline profile? b) Track all changes to a system while running? Basically I need something that will track all changes on the Windows platform. This includes all files placed and where, all registry changes, all registered DLL's etc., and any other system changes. -- Thanks, Noob Pen Tester
I'd first take a look at this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645 I'm sure there are many other tools, but this will give you a good start on what you want. You might also want to do a validated minimal installation of Windows, then boot from something that understands NTFS and can read all of the files to produce a secure hash of all files on the disk to external media.
