Good day everyone,

What kind of operating systems do proprietary routers run on such as
the dlink 321 or the cisco wrt series.

A very large portion of them use VxWorks or Linux.

Is there a way to detect this
from the device itself? Northside

It's not from the device itself, but I tend to use nmap's OS Detection features (nmap -O).
