You can also use the new tool from microsoft Security COnfiguration manager - define your GPO on the tool. Then you can 
export as a GPO backup, which then needs to be imported on the DC you want it to be applied

You can also export it as a CAB file, send it to your client who can then import it on SCM at their end, view the 
settings, edit if need be then export as a GPO backup
