I personally like SiteScope from HP (previously Mercury). It is web based, and robust in it's monitoring capabilities in that it can monitor services, ports, web page content, etc. It may be a bit overkill if you just want port monitoring, but worth a look anyhow. Can anyone recommend a simple & efficient product that can run on Windows XP / 2003. Basic requirements would be - 1. To check the ping status 2. Check whether particular TCP ports are responding 3. Have a dashboard to give a quick representation 4. Must have an smtp engine to alert via emails I am aware of Big Brother, just wanted to check if anyone could vouch for a better software. Thanks, Tinu Koshy PS: If you know of a Linux based software, please do suggest that too. =========================================================== Disclaimer: The information in this email and in any files Transmitted with it is intended only for the addressee and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
