In MS use EFS to encrypt the data and run your favorite wiping program.

Eraser http://www.heidi.ie/eraser is good.

All,

I have had a question posted to me, more opinion based, rather than
technical, but I would like to hear any views of your thoughts please.

The DoD hard drive wipe seems to be okay (not perfect I know.) for
removing sensitive data from a hard drive, but do you think it is
acceptable for an SSD or other Flash based storage?

If a DoD wipe is not good, what are your thoughts on something that is,
or would work?

Thank you,

Brian
