Try running nmap against the system first to see if it's truly a firewall issue. If all the ports are blocked and your GP says for the firewall to be off then chances are the machine lost its trust to the domain. Btw- did you guys use SAIC to do your ad conversion? I am currently unable to manage this systems, there is a GPO that is getting pushed down to the systems but it is still not activating the admin access. The only thing that I can come up with is that the admin account is not present on the system or the systems windows firewall has reactived it self some way.
