Could you please elaborate on the "Associate" status that you 
referred to?

Associates are people who don't meet the professional experience
requirements for CISSPR or SSCPR but who have passed the exam. They then
have up to five years to catch up on the experience requirement for CISSP,
or two years for SSCP.
