well Kerberos and LDAP are two different things. Kerberos is a authentication protcol where as LDAP is a Directory access protocol. An LDAP Server in a directory server. Some environments use both. For e.g. Active Directory is an LDAP complaint directory, but for authentication and SSO it uses Kerberos. If you give details of your requirements and you current environment, I may be able to better answer your questions. saqib http://www.linkedin.com/in/encryption On 12 Jun 2007 19:00:45 -0000, themaoc () gmail com <themaoc () gmail com> wrote:
Hi I must implement a network authentication services My question is: Wich it is the best option? I must use LDAP for authentication in my network, or Mit Kerberos only. my idea is use it same time both, It's better this? the level of the security is far better? I want to know if it's better, kerberos with openldap or lDAP only, or the oppositte kerberos only. thanks..
