If time is important you might want to look into NetFlow. There are numerous ways to freely generate flows on most platforms (fprobe) or simply collect them from your routers. You can then process them for free with something like flow-tools. I love Wireshark, EtherApe, Ethereal but I need a way to produce "executive style" reports of the analyzed traffic for a period of time. Something like pie charts, graphs etc. Open source and free would be great! Thanks, Chris
