Securing Online trading site

Dear all,
I have an assignment to implement an online trading site with the following
:
1- Full redundancy in communication links.
2- Full redundancy in servers.
3- Load balance (locally and remotely ). If it is possible to be made.
4- Intrusion prevention system ( Host Based )
5- Intrusion prevention system ( Network Based )
I know it is my homework and I have to do it, but I need any recommendation
or links for such setup and products to be used.
