Hi Alex, In my opinion one of the best crypto book in this area is "Handbook of Applied Cryptography" by A. Menezes P. van Oorschot and S. Vanstone. For books related strictly to PKI technology I recommend you for the beginning "Understanding Public-Key Infrastructure: Concepts, Standards, and Deployment Considerations" by Carlisle Adams and Steve Loyd published in 2001 by Macmillan Technical Publishing. Hope to help you. I'm interested in a functional approach rather than a highly detailed description of these technologies. I know that there's a plethora of choices from the big publishers but i appreciate more an opinion from an information security professional rather than an editor's review. Thanks in advance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This list is sponsored by: Norwich University EARN A MASTER OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION ASSURANCE - ONLINE The NSA has designated Norwich University a center of Academic Excellence in Information Security.
