Recently I experienced the same problem using Checkpoint VPN Secure Remote.  The issue was that I could not connect to 
the server, each time getting a message “Access Denied”.  As it turns out, I was trying to connect from my wireless PC. 
 When you are on wireless mode, the router assigns you an IP address which in many instances is consistent 
192.198.xx.xx the last two set of numbers are the only ones different.  In my particular example, the same first two 
numbers were the same as the network I was trying to connect, so the software package could not handle.

To resolve the issue, I connected directly to my Modem and was able to access the network then, the IP address assigned 
was different and the issue was resolved.
