You will probably need to use nmap's version detection (-sV) to verify that it is indeed DC++ on that port. To find it running on another port, you will probably need to do a full port scan (-p 0-65535) with version detection (-sV). If you save this to a file you can grep for "Direct Connect" or something similar. Or you could just google for hubs (which will be quicker) Regards On 6/2/06, Tobias Braun <logarithmenlord () googlemail com> wrote:
Hello, I want to detect hosts running DC++-Hubs in a wide range of hosts. I know that those are usually running on 411/TCP, so I tried a SYN-ping on this port, is this correct? Furthermore, in case the hub is running on another port than 411/TCP, how to detect the hub? Greetings!
