Take a look at the Cisco ASA5550. It has 1.2Gbps throughput (plaintext) and 360Mbps 3DES/AES throughput. You'll also get IDS and vpn concentrator features (with license). It might break the budget though. Looks like $20k new, $13-14K refurb. <- techdata.com -----Original Message----- From: listbounce () securityfocus com [mailto:listbounce () securityfocus com] On Behalf Of Mark Matrafajlo Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2006 4:17 PM To: security-basics () securityfocus com Subject: Firewalls Hi, I just started to look for an enterprise level firewall that has gigabit throughput with application layer proxies. I do not want to go with either checkpoint(expense) or secure computing(sidewinder). I would have went with CyberGuards(TSP), but god knows what the lifespan will be before secure integrates it into G2. Any insight to a decent FW that fits that description would be greatly appreciated! Thx, Mark
