Good Evening, We have been working on a new Content Management category for SecurityWizardry which will provide vendor neutral details of every product within certain product categories. Michele Jordan has provided an excellent 2nd draft of some Anti Virus product categories including: http://www.securitywizardry.com/av_server.htm Server AntiVirus The server products install on a standard server, and work either as a proxy or with the mail package to check traffic for virus infections. Some do mail-only, while others can provide scanning for web traffic as well http://www.securitywizardry.com/av_firewall.htm Firewall AntiVirus These products are add-on software to firewall installations, that perform the virus scans on all traffic flowing through the firewall, preventing the virus infections from reaching the internal network. http://www.securitywizardry.com/av_enterprise.htm Enterprise AntiVirus AntiVirus products which are centrally managed in a network environment. http://www.securitywizardry.com/av_isa.htm ISA Server AntiVirus The Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server (http://www.microsoft.com/isaserver/default.mspx) provides security for the network and integration with a variety of Microsoft networking solutions. Several products run on the ISA Server to provide anti-virus filtering for all traffic flowing through the server. We hope the pages prove to be useful, if there are any missing products or errors we would be grateful for your input Regards Andy Cuff Chief Technology Officer Computer Network Defence Ltd http://SecurityWizardry.com Phone (+44) (0) 7968 608945
