I use TrueCrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org/).  I don't know how it
compares to the previously mentioned programs.

It supports several algorithms, hidden volumes, auto dismounting, runs
from an installation or a stand alone exe (I keep a copy on a small
usb drive).  It's also free and open source.
