I suppose what you mean is that you would use one KVM-Switch (over IP) 
to attach to servers in different security zones?
As I see it the disadvantage of this would be if the KVM-Switch got 
compromised (e.g password revealed) the intruder would have KVM access 
to your servers in the different zones.
