Also check out the NSA's guide to securing W2K
I recall that NSA's guide to securing W2K is little more than a collection of security policy template files for use with that feature of W2K -- I specifically looked to see if the NSA guide told how to turn off all unnecessary services and close open ports, and it did not... Has it been updated recently by somebody outside the NSA who actually knows something useful?
