Google is your friend,

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=scratchcard

and then

http://www.netmag.co.uk/news/default.asp?pagetypeid=2&articleid=11269&subsec
tionid=484&subsubsectionid=0

While either of these gives me a quick pointer to the exact cause .. it
seems obvious that either someone has downloaded/played the scratched
lottery junk and/or a Trojan/downloaded crap app has installed some startup
tool/service to connect to a scratch pad site[s]. Most probably to get click
through money but maybe just a vandal.

You have no choice bit to start cleaning up .. take it of the net and see if
you can get it started without crashing, go from there [ hidden directories,
auto-loading services, etc.]

good luck,

/don

Subject: scratchcard

Request for info...
Experiencing several machines that, when booting, show a screen
displaying "scratchcard". The machines then display MANY popup windows
until they lock up. We're not having any luck finding information from
the antivirus sites. Does anyone have any experience with similar
symptoms?

Thanks in advance and have a great weekend.
