Kismet should. I know we were able to pickup my SSID without it broadcasting with both Kismet and NetStumbler. There were a few options to change in NetStumbler, and off the top of my head I cannot remember them. Sal ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Gillett" <gillettdavid () fhda edu>
Not with NetStumbler (boo hoo). Apparently, though, some of the Linux-only wardriving utilities will capture an SSID by sniffing existing traffic rather than rely on trying to provoke a broadcast.
