Greetings, You could just disable them.. See if that affect a system.. Then delete them.. Normaly account have comments that can help you locate their use.. Like ftp is used for your Ftp Server.. apache is the account your Web server (Apache) use etc etc.. Anything else could be deleted.. Patrick On Friday 06 June 2003 10:42, sjm wrote:
Does anyone know of a way to find out which system accounts are not in use and can be deleted? RedHat installs alot of them like 'games' some of which I know aren't needed on my web server, others I am not sure about. /*-----------------------------*\ | Steve McKinney | | ARDI - Web Programmer | | sjm () porter appstate edu | | (828) 262-6553 | \*-----------------------------*/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -
