-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Jebb's message sparked my curiosity and upon some cursory browsing (http://www.linksys.com/products/wired.asp) it seems to me Jebb is referring to the router software that gets loaded on a host, not on a router itself. The router uses firmware (pointed out in http://lists.insecure.org/lists/isn/2002/Nov/0007.html ), most likely QNX for the OS. If a computer is running Microsoft Windows, you can load any additional protection you'd like. If you'd like to load Windows on a router, then pull out the osciloscope. ray On Tuesday 15 April 2003 02:46 pm, Chris Berry wrote:

Personally I don't see any added benefit.Hmm, never seen that, have a model number? How do they do that without a MS OS?
